To obtain an application for the UFMC1 (University of Mentouri Constantin 1) please go to the central library or the first floor of the administrative tower (central campus) with a piece of identification and a copy of the Baccalaureate.

Important dates:

  • From 06 to 09 October: Applications submitted by applicants
  • October 10 to 15: Processing of applications by university institutions
  • From October 16th to 17th: Automatic processing of the wishes of the candidates (based on the satisfaction of the best wish obtained by the candidate)
  • October 19: Proclamation of the results (the selected candidates will have to print a mandatory form, which will be presented at registration)

The training caravan will reach the national territory and will aim, in its first edition, four sites that are: Constantine (16-17 October 2019 at INATAA-UFMC1), Blida (28-29 October 2019 at ISTA - USDB1), Oran (6-7 November 2019 at the SNV University of Oran) and Tamanrasset (19-20 November 2019 at the University Center of Tamanrasset). The start of the caravan will coincide with the celebration of World Food Day namely October 16th. Welcome to the International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Control Applications (ICEECA’2019).

The Fourth International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Control Applications (ICEECA’19) provides a forum for specialists and practitioners to present and discuss their research results in the several areas of the conference, and also state of the art findings in using the applied electrical engineering and automatic control to solve national problems that face developing countries. The conference ICEECA’19 publishes papers on theoretical analysis, experimental studies and applications in the domain of automatic control and computer engineering. The objective of the conference is not only the exchange of knowledge and experience, since the conference is an open door to students, but also provides opportunities for researchers to target future collaboration on current issues.

C’est une nouvelle structure dédiée à la création, l’innovation, la recherche, la technologie et les applications que vient de mettre en place l’université des Frères Mentouri de Constantine.

Il s’agit d’un FabLab, de l’anglais Fabrication Laboratory (laboratoire de fabrication) «qui est un lieu ouvert au public où il est mis à sa disposition toutes sortes d’outils, notamment des machines-outils, pilotées par ordinateur, pour la conception et la réalisation d’objets».
Pour les spécialistes, la caractéristique principale des FabLabs est leur ouverture : «Ils s’adressent aux entrepreneurs, designers, artistes, bricoleurs, étudiants ou aux hackers en tous genres, qui veulent passer plus rapidement de la phase de concept à celle de prototypage, de la phase de prototypage à celle de mise au point, de la phase de mise au point à celle de déploiement, etc. Ils regroupent différentes populations, tranches d’âge et métiers différents. Ils constituent aussi un espace de rencontres et de création collaborative qui permet, entre autres, de fabriquer des objets uniques : objets décoratifs, objets de remplacement, prothèses, orthèses, outils…, mais aussi de transformer ou réparer des objets de la vie courante.»

L’université des Frères Mentouri (UFMC) a ouvert donc un espace similaire à l’occasion du 16 avril, Journée du savoir, pour l’exposition des produits réalisés par des étudiants et des chercheurs. A cet effet, 30 projets ont été concrétisés dans cinq filières, à savoir électronique, mécanique, électrotechnique, sciences de la nature et de la vie et technologie alimentaire(Inataa). «Dans le monde des objets connectés et de l’industrie 4.0, l’innovation et le savoir-faire sont les clés de la réussite économique. Dans ce nouveau contexte économique et technologique, les FabLabs et les centres des carrières seraient de véritables ponts reliant l’université avec son environnement socioéconomique», expliquent les organisateurs.

Dans cette mouvance universelle, l’UFMC s’est dotée d’un FabLab pluridisciplinaire organisé en sections, dont la mission sera d’offrir aux étudiants et aux chercheurs un espace pour exprimer, concevoir et construire des prototypes et des équipements destinés à la réalisation des différents projets. Pour réussir ce challenge, le rectorat avec une jeune équipe d’enseignants chercheurs se sont mobilisés pour concrétiser ce projet dans les meilleurs délais.

Aussi, plusieurs activités de construction d’appareils et d’applications en cours d’exploitation ont été mises en avant aux fins de les proposer aux industriels. «A travers le FabLab de l’université des Frères Mentouri, nous envisageons, d’une part, de multiplier les dispositifs qui lient notre université avec les secteurs socio-économiques et de développer la culture entrepreneuriale au sein de cette institution, d’autre part. Notre FabLab est fédérateur des motivations, rassembleur des ambitions et générateur de richesses et d’emplois. Un lieu où se partagent les idées et naissent des génies. Cet espace sera ouvert à un large public motivé par la création, l’innovation, la recherche, la technologie et l’application», précisera le recteur Abdelhamid Djekoun.

LEARNING BY DOING

Si les FabLabs offrent aux étudiants des formations pratiques et l’accompagnement à la concrétisation de projets innovants et la mise en forme d’idées prometteuses sous forme de prototypes et produits éligibles à la commercialisation, il n’en demeure pas moins que pour ce faire, ils nécessitent l’implication d’autres organismes intermédiaires, dont les centres de carrière. Ces derniers offrent aux étudiants diplômés les mécanismes de mise en valeur de leurs compétences auprès des recruteurs potentiels, afin d’optimiser leurs chances de recrutement et de faciliter leur insertion dans le marché du travail en tissant des liens entre ces étudiants diplômés et les milieux professionnels. L’UFMC a actionné le sien dans cette perspective du fait «de la relation de complémentarité entre les deux», sera-t-il soutenu.

A travers plusieurs publications, il ressort que le phénomène FabLabs sera la prochaine révolution industrielle. Ces laboratoires de fabrication seront présents partout, où chacun pourra alors s’y rendre afin d’imprimer une pièce, de construire de nouveaux appareils, voire, pourquoi pas, fabriquer un nouveau smartphone. Pour les experts, «le mouvement Open Hardware laisse en effet entrevoir la possibilité de construire dans l’avenir des produits électroniques et des biens grâce aux machines et équipements dont disposent ces nouvelles structures». Le FabLab représente aujourd’hui le générateur de projets innovants créateurs de start-up, qui deviennent l’infrastructure de base pour l’économie. «De nos jours, de nombreuses start-up naissent après leur passage dans un FabLab.

Ces usines en accès libre, où l’on trouve des imprimantes 3D et des machines-outils pilotées par ordinateur, sont en train de configurer ce que sera l’industrie de demain», soutient-on dans le milieu universitaire. Les FabLabs sont adoptés par les universités pour instaurer le concept de «Learning by doing». Une autre démarche pour rendre l’étudiant acteur de sa formation et créateur de projets d’entreprises.
